PSY 21500 Applied Statistics
Summation notation, frequency distributions; graphs; percentiles; measures of central tendency and variability; standard score; the normal curve; statistical inference; one-sample tests of significance; confidence intervals; 2-sample tests of significance; linear correlation and regression; chi-square. All procedures are examined in the context of their application to research in psychology. Credit given for only one of the following courses: SSC 31100, ECO 20150, PSY 21500, SOC 23100. Required for Psychology majors.
