EDCE 3100C Elementary Science & Engineering Teaching Methods

An elementary science and engineering teaching methods course, where students develop skills and knowledge about science and engineering teaching and learning by doing hands-on and computer-based inquiry and design activities that are aligned with city, state and national standards. Students use research-based teaching strategies, read and analyze scholarly articles, and employ different assessment tasks to gather evidence of student learning and adjust instruction. Ten (10) hours of fieldwork are required, which includes doing actual teaching and investigating approaches used in informal education settings.
